Centre of prevention and resocialization

Preventive, probation and resocialization programs are designed for children and young people between the ages of 11 and 30 who have problems with the law, have committed crimes or are returning from serving a prison sentence.

We work with clients to help them realize the consequences of their actions and improve their abilities to manage everyday life in society, which reduces the risk of them reoffending. We have long been collaborating with the Probation and Media Service and Curators for Youth. Participation in programs (including Aristotle, Change of direction and Out of the circle) can also be applied as an alternative form of punishment.

We offer:

  • individual interviews with a psychologist, social worker
  • group meetings of clients and the development of social skills
  • social-legal counselling and accompaniment led by a social worker
  • working with parents and the client’s close surroundings to solve difficult situations

The Centre for Prevention and Resocialization implements the following programs: Aristoteles, Change of direction and Out of the circle.

It responds to the need for long-term individual work with people who are threatened by social exclusion or have come into conflict with the law and are interested in comprehensively addressing their own life situation. It is also suitable for people after returning from punishment.

The Out of the circle program is a long-term individual program, ranging from 6-15 months in the 50 hours range. Program applicants are reporting and getting on the program continuously.
More in progress.

Program objectives:

  • avoid reoffending
  • improve the social functioning of clients and the position on the labor market
  • encourage them to return to society
  • The “Out of the Circle” program is co-funded by the European Union.
