Youth Drop-in Club (DC) Pavlač is a drop-in prevention social service. The service is provided in two forms: by drop-in at the club itself, and in the field (meeting with clients in the streets of Brno and at boarding houses).
The facility’s mission:
DC Pavlač strives to improve the quality of life of children and youth who find themselves in an unfavorable social situation, live in socially excluded areas of Brno, and whose lives are directly impacted by this. DC Pavlač provides them with a safe space to spend their free time, as well as support and professional help with their problems.
Target group:
The service is intended for children and youth from 6 to 21 years old (from 3 years of age when justified) who find themselves in an unfavorable social situation, live in socially excluded areas of Brno, and whose lives are directly impacted by this.
DC Pavlač goals:
- providing a safe space where children and youth can spend their free time
- development of social skills and activation
- reduction of social risks stemming from social conflict situations, lifestyle, and high-risk behavior
- actively engaging with clients about positively affecting their own unfavorable life circumstances
- increasing clients’ ability to implement their own activities without the help of others
- providing support to handle difficult life situations
- mediation between the target group and the community in areas of mutual importance

- in the lodging houses in the streets Jarní, Markéty Kuncové, and Šámalova. We monitor other lodging houses of Brno as well.
- in the socially excluded areas in districts Brno-Střed, Brno-Sever and Brno-Židenice (especially in the neighbourhood of streets Cejl, Milady Horákové, Bratislavská, Francouzská, Hvězdová)
Individual planning complies with the regional cards of the Region of South Moravia.
DC Pavlač is a member of the Czech Streetwork Association.
